Michael was super ambitious and got up early this morning to attempt to watch the sunrise. Me? Not so much. I’m not a morning person to begin with, and my other issue is that once I’m up, I have a really hard time going back to sleep. Plus, vacations are for sleeping in! :)
Today’s plans consisted of a whole lotta nothing until the evening. This vacation has been much more relaxing than some of the other ones we’ve taken in the past. We typically like to go-go-go and get out and see everything, but with our “babymoon,” we decided to approach things at a much easier pace.
This morning, the skies were slightly overcast, but there were pretty significant breakthroughs of sun. We decided to hit the pool, since we hadn’t been able to until now. We relaxed, read, swam, and soaked in some sun rays (we wore sunscreen–don’t worry!).
By late morning, we decided it was time to head back to […]
Unfortunately, we woke up to not-so-fantastic weather this morning. We had plans to spend the morning by the pool, but because it was pretty overcast, we had to change our minds.
We decided to get dressed and head over to the Southernmost Beach Cafe, which is right on hotel property, for breakfast. It’s open air […]
We flew into Miami a little late last night. We were delayed just a bit in Detroit, then had to wait around for a while for our luggage. (I really hate checking luggage–sucks when it really can’t be avoided.) By the time we got our rental car and were on our way, we were both […]
AboutI'm Heather. I'm 33 and have been married to Michael for seven years. Together, we have two beautiful little girls we love more than anything, and a miniature dachshund who drives us crazy. I'm a full-time working mom who has very little time for my own "stuff" these days, like home improvement, cooking/baking, cake decorating, and photography. Despite the team not making the playoffs since 1999, I'm STILL a Buffalo Bills fan, which I think speaks to my loyalty AND sense of humor. I can't wait to pick up the pace with travel again some day... you know, when we're done being ruled by tiny fists. Welcome to my blog.
