Perfection. It’s the one word to describe our Memorial Day weekend.
I think most of the Northeast had the sunny, warm, gorgeous weather that we had, right from the moment we woke up on Saturday morning to the time we went to bed on Monday night. It made for a wonderful “unofficial start” to the [...]
Ah, Mother’s Day. It was such a nice day all around.
Michael and the girls (OK, the effort was pretty much all Michael’s) did a few things that made the day a little more special than usual. First, Michael got up at the crack of dawn (literally) and went to Wegmans to get muffins and [...]
We took a quick trip down to visit my dad in Virginia last weekend. It was much too short, particularly when you consider the 8.5-hour drives to and from… with two kids.

I think it’s kind of rare, because I know that a lot of times, the Monday morning workday blues actually begin [...]
We made it.
The whirlwind of activity, shopping, wrapping, baking, cooking, crafting that led up to Christmas. We got through it. We had a pretty great Christmas, and now it’s over. I always feel a little sad, but also a little relieved.

AboutI'm Heather. I'm 32 and have been married to Michael for six years. Together, we have two beautiful little girls we love more than anything, and a miniature dachshund who drives us crazy. I'm a full-time working mom who has very little time for my own "stuff" these days, like home improvement, cooking/baking, cake decorating, and photography. Despite the team not making the playoffs since 1999, I'm STILL a Buffalo Bills fan, which I think speaks to my loyalty AND sense of humor. I can't wait to pick up the pace with travel again some day... you know, when we're done being ruled by tiny fists. Welcome to my blog.
