You know how sometimes, you have such a great weekend that you actually come into work on Monday SMILING? Feeling refreshed and happy? It’s like the high from the weekend hasn’t worn off yet. I think it’s kind of rare, because I know that a lot of times, the Monday morning workday blues actually begin [...]
I know it’s not completely unusual these days for me to go several days without posting. But this past week? Wow, it was a doozy.
Last weekend was Michael’s birthday weekend. He didn’t feel well on Friday and had stayed home from work, and was kind of still “off” on Saturday. So we didn’t do [...]
We made it.
The whirlwind of activity, shopping, wrapping, baking, cooking, crafting that led up to Christmas. We got through it. We had a pretty great Christmas, and now it’s over. I always feel a little sad, but also a little relieved.
Nora, on the other hand, is having a hard time coming to grips [...]
You guys! Is anybody still even reading? I think I’m trying to set a record low for number of blog posts in one month. Busy just doesn’t even begin to cover it. I can’t even believe that Christmas is two days away!
For a couple of years now, I’ve been sharing “Christmas wish lists” of [...]
Every year since Michael and I moved in together in 2005, we’ve sent out photo Christmas cards to family and friends. I think. And every year, our list gets longer and longer.

AboutI'm Heather. I'm 31 and have been married to Michael for five years. Together, we have two beautiful little girls we love more than anything, and a miniature dachshund who drives us crazy. I'm a full-time working mom who has very little time for my own "stuff" these days, like home improvement, cooking/baking, cake decorating, and photography. Despite the team not making the playoffs since 1999, I'm STILL a Buffalo Bills fan, which I think speaks to my loyalty AND sense of humor. I can't wait to pick up the pace with travel again some day... you know, when we're done being ruled by tiny fists. Welcome to my blog.
