Last year, we spent a week at the beach with friends in the Outer Banks. Nine adults, seven children, a lot of sun, water, sand, food, beer, and fun. Everyone had a really great time. It was perfection.
Understandably, we wanted to replicate that experience this summer, but alas, our friends are not on board [...]
That’s the sound of another nine days, gone like a flash. I have the best intentions about making time for blogging but it just seems to happen less and less these days.
It’s been a busy few weeks, though. I just got back from Denver last night, having traveled there this week for work.
The countdown is on. Our Disney trip is just around the corner.
We have dining reservations (too many, actually. I need to narrow it down). We have a (fairly loose) itinerary—a plan for which days we’re spending in which parks. We have our Fast Passes (wasn’t able to get Elsa and Anna. booooo). Our Magic [...]
I’m going to Ft. Lauderdale for work, not with my little family. BUT if I have to be away from my family for a few days, my boss and coworkers are pretty awesome. And it’s a retreat, during which we have quite a bit of free time and fun “team building” (see: shopping, laughing, eating, [...]
We took a quick trip down to visit my dad in Virginia last weekend. It was much too short, particularly when you consider the 8.5-hour drives to and from… with two kids.
Truth be told, the girls did great. But we drove down on Friday and came back on Monday, which gave us only two [...]
AboutI'm Heather. I'm 32 and have been married to Michael for six years. Together, we have two beautiful little girls we love more than anything, and a miniature dachshund who drives us crazy. I'm a full-time working mom who has very little time for my own "stuff" these days, like home improvement, cooking/baking, cake decorating, and photography. Despite the team not making the playoffs since 1999, I'm STILL a Buffalo Bills fan, which I think speaks to my loyalty AND sense of humor. I can't wait to pick up the pace with travel again some day... you know, when we're done being ruled by tiny fists. Welcome to my blog.
